i have a 303 right now, and i LOVE it, and i was wondering what upgrading to a 404 would be like..

is there anything a 303 can do that a 404 can't?

404 just seems like a better machine except for how it looks ;P

the main reason i want a 404 is cuz i wanna DJ for house parties and i wanna do mostly beats like samiyam.

i COULD save up for a 404 without selling my 303, but that would take...a while.

i got both, i like them both...
The 303 sounds better than the 404 if you ask me the 404 is faster and more memory offcourse.
a couple more effects on the 404 so if you don;t mind the sound of the 404 i would go for the 404.

read that mark mystery delete disaster thread -- the marking in the 404 is kinda different
also if i remember correctly the 404 cannot resample pads+external at the same time
for DJing neither probably matters

Isnt it a bit hard to dj with a 303? There arent too many spaces for a full set...

303 lets you resample with the external source on!!! 404 can not do this

Put the pad in loop mode so when you want the next sound to trigger you hit the pad with the one playing and also the new sound you want to start. In loop mode pressing the pad once will start the sound and keep it going and you press it again to turn the sound off. The 303 or 404 can not cut the sounds automatically.

Keep the 303 and get the 404
Best of both worlds and the 404 isn't too pricey.
