are they really as good as they're claimed to be?

I want to buy them because by all reports theyre amazingly good despite being cheap, but I havent had a chance to check them out for myself so I dont know whether to believe the hype

Ahh good for you! Some monitors are somewhere close on my list of stuff to get. I have to like cross reference on sooo many things until I'm satisfied. Car. home stereo, computer speaker, computer with headphones, ipod, and the list goes on. I know I will probably still will have to do all that but at least I can cut the first 25 times out

They sound pretty good to me, but i never had the change to listen to other monitor's i wnet from cheap behringers(20 euro a set) to these samsons.
the store in my home town only sell's samson so i had no choice.

seem to have a bit of a low end but i think there more accurate then my Sony mdr-v150's lol
