Seaquence

Post by KOMSAT »

Friend showed me this, it's a cute little distraction from work:

Would be cooler if they actually would "compete" against each other. Artificial Life and Cellular Automata-based beat battles anyone? Genetic Algorithms in the studio?

A new way to make beats in computer lab at school. Dope. Nice little thing to pass the time. Thanks...

Hmmm... if you want cellular automata try the grid sequencer inside audiotool, it's set up like conway's game of life..

this one here, is just an interesting way of controlling regular patterns..

each 'creature' has a pattern, an envelope and a waveform/sample, then the 'pond'/their movement is a mixer,
Samples.

this shit is hot, got some nice sounds too. you could sample the one shots n shit. nice find. and all that was programmed in flash. im learning action script right now and that shit is hard as fuck, so to see something like this, its amazing to think of all the code it would take to produce something like this.
