currently the microsampler is my middleman. I grab and tweak sounds/samples then i make a couple of patterns. next i record into the ms-1 to do 2nd edits, fine tune tempo, pan and such.
finally, i will record back into the sp-404 at set bpm to get the loops just right. I've done this with some loops i made on the ipad and it seemed to work good. I haven't gotten to the third part yet with my current set.

btw, After a year of unproductivity; I will be refreshing my songs on myspace and doing a show in Feb. I'll record it and put it up so yous guys can tell me whats up.

my friend has a korg microsampler paired with his 303 and i can confirm that it is limited by your mind. any sound can be streched across the keys, one xylophone sample then bang you have one. chopping samples across it is perfect too (a bit like an mpc), although the ideal method is to make beats and samples on the korg then export them to your sp. i know i'm going to get one when i can.

rapid questions (they're about buying the one i saw for 210€ here!):

EFFECTS:
2 simulaneously is it possible? can we affect the audio in with effect?

RESAMPLING:
is it resampling also as MPC/ES/ST224/SP555/ASRX (they resample patterns also)? can we apply fx during resampling (obviously, but...)? can we assign resample pattern wherever we want on the keyboard?

TIME STRETCHING:
is it cool enough quality (this is expecially for MPC/ST224 users)?can we resample stretched patterns?

PITCH SCALE:
it exists a sort of this function on the MS? (having the whole pitch of a root note sample trhough the whole keyboard). someting like mpc's 16 levels, st224 ,su10 and sp505 pitch scale.

USB:
is it ok with winxp? do we need drivers for it? can we record trough it (sp555/SP606)?

ASSORTED WEIRDNESS:
is it possible to move/tweak start or end points of a sample while playing patterns? it exists a sort of "loop point" (mpc users) in the ms? how is the vocoder? is SWING cool? is QUANTIZE cool?

thanx guys

Basically yes. Don't know about the USB from sp555 or affecting the length while playing.

thanx jbl.
so what about the resampling questions, i mean, do the MS sample its own patterns, timestratched samples and pitch-scaled ones?

for the usb:
i read the manual, think it serves just to store/transfer files...i thougth it served at less for "midi controlling" softwares...
