Hey Rio, I like how you included the velocity...

...could you make a sp 303 sequencer too?
I mean you "only" need to replace some mide notes and take off some banks and pads... the sp 303 sequencer is even more limited than the 404, so this would an amazing thing, too... Fragen kost ja nix, oder?!

Pad A1 would be C2 / Note 36
...
Pad D8 would be G4 / Note 67

- funktioniert aufnahme genauso? auch metronome sound und -4 -3 -2 -1 vorzähler?
- A..D Bänke also nur 4 Bänke, also nur ein Midikanal richtig?
- wird velocity für notes unterstützt?
- quantize 32 einstellbar?...ich seh glaub ich nur 16 oder?

1. Aufnahmemodus ist der Gleiche... also mit Metronom-Vorzähler
2. 4 Bänke, 8 Pads, nur 1 Midikanal
3. Velocity: ja!
4. Quantize nur 16tel Noten

Ich würde es noch geil finden, 2 Geräte parallel synchronisieren/programmieren zu können... too much oder? Vielleicht kann man 2 Programme verlinken o.ä.? (2 Midi Out notwendig; ick wees)

303 Editor "lohnt" sich noch mehr, weil man die pattern 'in-time' wechseln muss... mache gerne einen Testlauf.

Zum midi-splitter, ne da sag ich mal gleich ab. geht ja mehr um das Aufnehmen 1 exakten (Drum) patterns oder ähnliches. das andere ist glaub ich too much

für solche zwecke kannst zur not noch mit midi-ox routen

info: i have uploaded the last version with readme.txt now.

so now after some spare time i have finished the last version 1.3.

It will now support 2 new features:
---------------------------------

- 303 mode, so that you can control SP-303 devices too (i have not any, so please test it and report me
- 303 mode is only restricted for QUANTIZE 16! so if you want record, please choose that option on your device)

- EPSE has now a "Scaler" and "Roller" Option. Just try it out, while scrolling the mousewheel on the pads. You can switch between both modes with "R-Button" or "S-Button" in top-left. The Scale-Mode was not as easy to made as it look:)

- There are some bugs fixed.

oh sorry for the people who has already downloaded the last version 1.3, which i have uploaded last night.

There were some small bugs inside, which i have only noticed now (LOL - it was tooo late):
- 404 mode does not play pad-lines > 8 of a pattern and the initialisation of copied velo values was not correct and sync button has not change state anymore ... (oh oh, too bad ). So i declare version 1.3 as defected.

I have uploaded now a new zip, so please download the fixed version 1.3b.
everything should now work fine

In this version I have also changed the button for "Solo/Select Off" to "Toggle Solo/Select" functionality <-- this is more useful as a simple deselection.

so today i will upload the last version - 1.4 with midi-in support. Give me a bit time for last tests before i can release that.

i have uploaded the last version - 1.4.

The main feature is midi-in control. It works fine when i want to start and stop with some other midi-devices controlled by another midi-controller... so now you can get an impression how it would sound with the arangment of different midi-instruments before you want to record it as single pattern on SP-404.

Now, i come to the bug fixes: Ok, there was a problem with scrolling mousewheel in combobox and the main form. because combobox has not left focus by itself. Thats now fixed.

Another big change is the correction of default step position (the yellow number below the sync button). It's now changed to 2. I've started a new registry-entry in app, so that it will changed/reset all parameters automatic, if you have still used epse404 before.

What is all the reason about:
i have checked the record step position in quantized grid of SP-404. it was not the 1st step (when i used sync-option and when I want to record the 1st step), on the contrary it was the 2nd.... (with bpm 40 - it was easy to find out)

sorry, i havn't noticed that before...
please test that all with SP-303 - i don't have such device.

I have uploaded a new version 1.4a, where an exception in midi-in class is fixed, when no input devices are available.

The previous version (1.4) hasn't handled the exception when you start the app without connecting any midi-interface or with an interface without midi-in ports. In that case, you can only kill the app in taskmanager. Thats now fixed, the application runs fine now with or without available ports

I noticed that while testing the app.
I hope that was the last bug.. that tool is now in a very final state .
