When the mastered song is played on radio, the difference is apparent. Mastered song is way above the amateur tracks. How the mastering is done? Mastering is performed by the mastering engineers in the recording studio. It is done for a variety of reasons. The mastering process is carried out to make the soundtrack sound good. This is possible by adding a great deal of space, clarity and dynamics. When these are added, the tracks come out sounding soulful and magical. Mastering engineer offers a new perspective to the song. This is different from of the perspective of the recording engineer. The recording engineer may not be able to detect certain small changes from constant listening of tracks. These changes are then found out by the mastering engineer in the mastering stage. Mastering is the final stage of music making that fine tunes the track. If there is more than one track in the album, mastering can render a great amount of uniformity and space to the songs. Technically, mastering the tracks involves preparing a final master format for replication or duplication. Mastering is also artistic in nature. The mastering engineer knows how to make the whole track sound good by adding Compression and Eq, using processes like compression, limiting, equalization and other signal processing. mastering service is now also available online. This is to make the whole song sound good and technically well edited.
