"Waking To..." is a LP/film experiment in documenting dreams into first,audio then ultimately visual form. this is not a soundtrack to my dreams, but merely an exercise where upon awakening i immediately free write down all images,colors and fleeting memories in my head from the dream of the previous night.immediately after writing while fresh in that mindset,i would then make sound collages and textures in the same free and random approach. once the initial recording is done, nothing is added or post produced..as to keep the initial feeling of that particular moment of fresh and waking life. these are the pieces that came from this experiment..."

Very nice ambient/experimental/down tempo style. It’s a hard work trying to not add to much sound and drums/rhythms… that’s what I think… I’m down loading.

yeah i feel the same way, usually im into building BIG beats...but for this experiment I made myself just wake up, make the soundscape, and leave it alone after the initial recording to keep it a raw and simple idea.

Curious. Are you using some sort of organ on The Next Day? Sounds very BoC. Witch isn’t bad…

for "TheNextDay" there are three different types of keys. the opening of the track...is a field recording f a fender rhodes piano that Dak chopped and manipulated...then throughout the song there are organs sampled from my micron and processed thru the 555 with effects (echo,delay,wah).
