Hi all
just recieved my first 606 today
having a few problems:
my computer will recognise the 606 as a usb mass storage but how do i get the samples from computer to the 606?
i have to blank compact flash cards but i cant seem to record samples from vinyl at all?
is there any way of deleting the factory sounds and presets?

to get samples form a pc to the 606 just use the 606 as a common usb mass storage; go to menu>5>mass storage>enter...ormally the pc will recognize the 606 as a mass storage that way...then put .wav or .aiff samples on it.

i think you can delete the factory samples 'cause mine came without them. maybe you have to initialize the system, but it seems to me complicated that way; just try to unprotect them (i don't remember the procedure, but i think this is the right way)

to delete those factory settings you first have to unprotect them. like unprotect the bank. the manual will tell you how to do it. once its unlocked you can delete the samples in them. i just cant remember how to unlock em off hand. grab yourself a manual online, your already sounding like you skipped that step.

my computer sees the sp606 as a usb mass storage and i can drop samples in to the folder but one im in the 606 how do i access the samples in the 606

really, it's simple.
maybe try func+usb pad and you're done.
