recording patternns

Hi
I go to record a new pattern on to a empty pattern but when i go to record it says the pattern is full can any one help or tell me how to clear all patterns

bring up the menu and initialize(init) the machine and bring it to the factory settings, it clears the machine out. if you dont want the crappy factory sounds, dont hit the load factory checkbox.
