Have owned the sx for only a few hours now and never used an og404, so excuse my ignorance, but I think the sx's lofi doesn't work like the og 404.

the lofi button, the lofi mfx, the filter, eq, vinyl comp.... try to stack up lots of subtle changes rather than one big one

no, seriuosly, i owned a 404 too and they sound different. maybe follow what Lodger said about how to reach the 303 sound...

Yo forum looks to be busted at the moment. I have a few more things to add and questions to ask, but I'll wait until this shit is straightened out.

In the meantime, I'd just like to say thanks to all the buddhas that dropped your little wisdom nuggets. My fav so far is make a lot of small changes, rather than one or two big changes. I knew this at some point in my journey, but mother f, it is hard to keep it all there in your mind when you are working.

Roland MS-1's are good for gettin shit sounding filthy. They are cheap if you can find one.
