Waz up peeps..
Here are my questions..
1. When I transfer samples from PC to 606 thru USB how come my card is unformatted and I lose everything previously on the card? Can't I just add to it..
2. When you export is that to the card or to the PC.. I never used the export function before and my samples are still saved to the card.. Is that correct..
3. Import samples do they go on the card or 606 internal memory itself?

1 - that shouldn't happen. You should be able to open up the card on the PC, through the 'USB Mass Storage' option, and drag'n'drop the files onto the card...
2 - Export is to the card. You then open up the dir on the PC (using the USB Mass Storage Connection) and drag the files off the card and onto the PC.
3 - Imported samples are stored on the card. Sample location data is stored on the machine and the card. If you move a sample onto bank 1 - 8 it's stored on the 606 and not the card (I think).

Thanks Number 2 and 3 I understand.. but for Quest #1.. I do drag n drop into my 606 card, thru the F: drive it's on.. But when I disconnect sometimes it's like that.. maybe it's me I will try again..

@Twitch: Dunno if you've solved your problem in the meantime, but ..
assuming you're using Windows .. there should be a small icon in the system tray (that's lower right of your desktop) that says something like 'safely remove hardware' or something when you hover your mouse above it.
If you keep having problems with losing data whilst unplugging your machine, you might want to click and use that instead. Windows will force your SP to stop communicating with your PC making sure there won't be any data loss when you remove.
Off course, Windows sucks a lot, so it can still go wrong actually, but it should improve things greatly..
