Can't record patterns on internal banks?

First of all, I apologize if this is an old question

When I start to tap out a pattern on the internal banks it counts through the bars as normal but it doesn't record my sequences, though I can do it just fine on my card banks.

Anyone know what the problem could be?

Do you have samples loaded on the internal banks? I can only guess that you've filled up the internal memory.

I have no sounds on the internal banks as I just cleared out the machine. I put a few drum hits on bank C, and am able to make a pattern just fine on the card banks.

I don't think so, I was able to do so perfectly 'til a couple weeks ago

the lights don't blink when it asks which bank and when I choose one it acts like its recording the sequence, but retains none of what I tap out.
