Everyone here reads all posts in all sections, so there's no need to double post 'cause it won't get answered any quicker. But I got you covered in the other section. Welcome to the forum.

hey richie are u on lockdown, or a loud speaker or something?

by the way, the 404 shares many traits with the 303. u should check all the pages out though, if u have the time. and youtube always inspires me.

I'd have to agree, but some of those videos can help you with understanding the workflow, as it's different from mpc's and computer programs.

there're also some musicians who use sp-stuffs that maybe aren't using "404" or whatever as tags on youtube. which is to say, you may not find 'em by looking up 303 or 404 in youtube's search bar.

so, for ex. joe beats has some live stuff on youtube, and you get an idea of how he worx (i think he uses 404s tho). panda bear from animal collective has some stuff on youtube where he's using double 303s (note: not hip hop, obvs).

so if you find out that an artist you like is rawking the same gear as you, try looking for their live stuff or studio stuff on youtube or whatever.

sometimes it just helps to see how other dudes are using the machines, regardless of either you dig it (as dr. sample is getting at).

bon chance.

i guess i didnt see it from that point of view will re check youtube for joe and that dude panda. also when you guys make beats do you do everything in the sp 303 or do you record your sequences to the computer and build your songs that way.

i'm using a 404, but its the same idea. most guys here will build the whole thing on the sp-, output stereo wav to pc or recording device of some sort.

but it depends. sometimes you wanna output beats bit by bit to a multitracker and go from there. but yeah, mostly fully on the sp-.

peace
