It was a 2nd gen touch that I bought. I would not buy anything lower than a 2nd gen. I just bought mine cuz it was cheap and my iphone broke and I didn't feel like waiting 2 months for the new itouch to come out. If possible try to get the 32gb 3rd gen that comes with more ram, faster cpu and better gpu (don't pay more than $150 for it cuz a new one is like $200). FYI the ipod touch is now on its 4th gen.

Put me at the Nano Studio camp. I got an 8g Touch refurbished from the Apple site $150 + $15 for the Nano App, now I'm making music on the subway!

OK, thanks for your help! I will try to get the 3rd gen. Unfortunately a new one with 32gb costs 240 EUR (ca. 312$) over here in Germany!

However, I found a nice cheap mobile "alternative": If you own a GP2X (I have the oldest version) you can run a free Software called "Milkytracker" on it. Yeah, it´s a tracker and a pain in the ass to sequence with on the GP2X but now I can pitch my samples and record them into my 404 without a computer. YEAH! Me happy now!

Electrify is a must have. That synthstation is junk in my opinion. The whole reason an ipad or pod is dope is that its an all in one mobile device. I dont want some lunky keyboard, I'll save that for my computer.

ims20 looks super dope. really impressed with the i electribe.

electrify looks like it could be good for live sets aswell. similar to live?

like spring said, we are definatly in the future. it's like sitting on the enterprise when i go to make beats now with all this touch screen. i was never happy taking my mac book out but the ipads got shotgun where ever im at.

also, for those with girlfreinds, get them tetris or something like that, keeps them amused for hours hahaha. only downside is tryin to get your shit back!!

iMS20 IS super dope top 5 apps for sure. Electrify is more(almost exactly) like having the UW part of a machinedrum.
Space is super dope.

If you're on an iPod Touch/iPhone, I found the UI way tiny so it was a bit awkward on such a small screen. It sounds nice though, just clunky to use.

It's nicer on the iPad. Bigger screen, room to breathe. Haven't yet used it enough to give a full review though...
