Live use of the sp-404

Hi people.. Any body rocking their SP live by hooking it up to a big f*ck off P.A system? The reason I'm asking is because a friend of mine would like me to DJ at his birthday. I've loaded my S.P with an 8 gig card and filled the card with some nasty funk grooves.. 120 in total! I recorded all the songs from original vinyl and added eq (more bass, etc). The songs were recorded 'hot'.. that's going well into the red, but they sound great without distortion on playback. I have the output of the S.P set to -3 so not to overload the mixer... anybody tried this out? If so, how did it go? and how did you do it?

i played at a open mic on tuesday, just plugged my 404 straight into the pa system. was playing a load of my jazz beats, which are really dirty sound wise. all went well. i would recomend going through a dj mixer first though, just for a bit more control over eq's/isolators.

That is cool but what is the purpose of having two 404's running at the same time? 24 pads? I guess you could record and loop sounds from one 404 to the other on the fly. I dont know...

for live performance, i was thinking that you could do sort of a dj like thing and mix the two(leaving you time to load your new track while the other is playing). I'm curious about this myself

Well I tried it out and the sp sounded so fat and lovely compared to a laptop that someone was djing with.. plus I absolutely killed it by droppin' some super heavy funk and twisting the tunes up with the built in effects.. Delicious!

Also of course with 2 you can run one into the other, giving you the ability to stack 2 effects live
