me and my mate are always thinking when we're on acidventures out n about.. "man we have to take acid and produce music! all the crazy ideas we have!"

But we've tried it a few times and we just ended up watching nickelodeon junior all night... SOOO FUNNY

sketchy sam the salt shaker...
a rastafarian flamingo and a guinea pig that hides his celery inside a pineapple..

I realise now we should probably try to make childrens shows not music

acid and nickelodeon!!! thats dam funny. im actually working for a company that is pitching a show to nickelodeon. the show is pretty gay but all i do is the animation, not the concept and script stuff. i wont steal your idea but it sounds funny as hell. sketchy sam the salt shaker! lol
but i remember one night me and a buddy took a cut of shrooms and planned on going outside and doing a bunch of crazy shit and we ended up staying in and beating lego batman for xbox 360! felt like forever cause took the shrooms in the morning and ended the game at like 10pm, we paused n shit for weed breaks and cigg runs to the gas station!!!

as for the work ethic. i dont have one now that ive started using hardware. i started producing beats with fruityloops 3 back in the day. i used to spend a weekend sampling everything i could get my hands on, moms rnb cd, cable tv, websites, everything. then id spend the next few days chopping it all, like every sample with cd wave editor. then id just rock out for weeks. that was back when i was between schools, part time job and lots of access to weed. now i just grab a sample and play with it for a little on like saturday. im waiting to get laid off and collect unemployment so i can get back int he game!

I work on things when I get off work. Usually from 7-9pm a couple times a week. I am working my butt off all day (im a graphic designer and screen printer) so sometimes I come home make dinner and get sucked into the tv and computer, or sleep.

I also try to bring some equipment to my buddies house on saturdays when a bunch of us always get together ( we all have 9-5ers and some of us have kids and wives) It usually ends up talking about whats going on in our lives, BBQ'in and drinking beer. Nothing gets recorded. We call it musical fusion. We do make loud noises though.

sounds like ^^ you've actually got a good sked jeff.

i work full-time and like others have a missus. she's also a creative type, and fully understands needing to block off time to do creative work. so i'm gold as far as that goes.

my FAVE way to work is, on the weekend, turn on a bunch of gear first thing in the morning and work away on tracks for a while, and then take breaks over the course of the day to watch some footie, or read or whatevs. by the end of the night, i've got stuff i dig.

basically by using the whole day i avoid feeling the heat of 'concentrated' time.

on the issue of having 2000 tiny snippets of songs, rather than full songs...well, if you wrote them, you know how they all go. maybe they're all supposed to be short scraps? stitch them together, maybe.

Actually those were just bits from actual show!!! Blues Clues had this grumpy salt shaker in it.. and one of our mate's sam was being heaps sketchy from the acid..

Then the flamingo rasta + the guinea pig were from wonder pets :P

but it'd certainly be cool to make silly things like that! Sounds like you have a pretty sweet job btw, even if you don't get to write the story - animation is fun stuff. what kind of animation are you doing for it?
