mixing

Hi
im new to roland sampler world as i have mainly used mpcs.on the roland 606 can you mix individual tracks and samples on the unit itself?

hi
the 606 doesn't have an inner mixer as the , for ex, the mpc1000 does.
anyway you can do (some) similar things with resample+fx (that what is most about boss/roland samplers).
and don't forget that this machine is mostly conceived to work with pc.

It has a mixer but it mixes the entire song as a whole (the mastering button and the 2 mfx buttons). U can edit the volumes and pan of individual pads but if you want to do filters and stuff you have to resample the pad using the mfx buttons

u COULD apply the effects to only specific pads (you have the option of choosing which pads can be effected) and that might work out for you as well

i will probably use the 606 for a live show, but in conjunction with a pc+kaoss pad 2. but i think that, well prepared and conceived, you could do also a live show alone with this sampler.
