not recognized

hello i m french so excuse me for my english..
i bought a long time ago on internet a sp606 , then recently i bought an imac
i cannot manage to connect my sp606 on the mac , and even it s not recognized in ableton live
i downloaded a driver on the roland site , and installed it , but nothing more happened...
can someone help me?
i m on mac osx 10.6.4

the drivers for the 606 suck. ive had to reinstall it a few times. even though you can access it inside of a software program, like you can select it in your audio interface section. the drivers are all screwed up. ive had to uninstall it and reinstall it to get it to work. so i just gave up on it. you cant even use the pads to control your program like you can with the 555. or maybe you can and i just gave up too quick. but you can get audio in and out with the usb. i even heard that the p606 isnt that good either.
thats roland for you, and cakewalk. never liked their software.
