Sandisk ultra card won't format?

Good to hear. 4? Go for 8!!! lol...

It's weird to see sooo much available sampling time...compared to my 808 on zip disks...250MB per disk.

I was expecting the micro card to FAIL like a dog...but so far it's holding up.

i thought 4 gig was crazy enough, lol... i know it's not keeping it real vis a vis the early sp 1200 heads with their 128 bytes or whatever they had

ok i am not sure if this card (type posted above, 4 gig Sandisk) is the cause of this issue, but i'm posting it here as a warning sorta.. i've noticed that during sampling the recording sometimes "skips" - there are milliseconds missing from the recorded sample so that you hear a pop... not sure, maybe the card is too slow for the sp to write it or something like that. In any case i haven't noticed it with the original sx card.

To the last poster I've noticed the same thing recently with my sd card which is a 8gig grade 10, 20 mb/sec writting speed. The brand is PNY. Seems like it skips when resampling mostly. Its my second card I have tried and it seems like the search for a card that works continues. If any one has had success finding a card for the sx that formats and doesn't have this problem please post it. Just in terms of frequency it skipped on me around 6 or more times in around ten minutes

yep, same request from me, if we can get a nice list of cards that give no one problems it should be useful for a lot of people.

and that frequency is more or less what i get, i'll get a couple of skips in a 2-3 minute sample, not more.
