beat making on 404

hey just wondering am trying to create a whole albm worth of stuff just with the 404 and at the min its going ok but alot of the time i keep goin back to reason 5 ,just wondered if anyone has tried to do this b4 and what hurdles you came across

the only hurdle is your imagination. when it comes to the 404 you jus gotta get creative. There are mad beat makers here who kill it on the 404, check the music section. are you making whole beats in the sp or recording/arranging ish elsewhere??

on my new tape, im jus playing ish live without seq into reaper and cut pastin ish. is going well. but you gotta find a workflow for you.

if you really want to go all 404, turn reason off and burn some trees.

I would suggest using both! Load up all your fav drum sounds in the 404 and record loops into reason 5. Bounce back and forth between the two. Run your final bounced 2 mix through the 404 with live effects tweaks. Use the features you like best about both machines to get the results you want. Or you can turn off reason and just go off on the 404 if you really want, it;s all fun.

yeh man, i wasn't saying ignore reason, jus if you want to go all 404 you gotta eliminate distractions. alls good. getting live on monday, yeaaahhh!! like bridge said its good to jus bounce between the two, best of both like hovis.

im from sunny gloucester in the uk, i got a beattape on my blog/soundcloud (below) from april made over a week, is mpc and 404. i got loads of ish but keep most of it for myself or my mates.
