I used to be a big football fan, being German and living in Europe, but now I've realized that it's the most corrupt sport there is.
The whole manipulation of the referees, and even players and coaches is terrible, and I'm not going to mention all the diving involved nowadays.
You don't have this type of thing in basketball, or at least not as often as in soccer, which is why I prefer watching this sport instead. This doesn't mean that I don't watch soccer at all. I do enjoy watching the Premier League, but I don't watch that much television anymore.

Love the kickball, i'm afraid i'm a Newcastle United fan though. Disappointing today, though it could have been a lot worse, Colo with the last minute equaliser!

Man Utd slipped up a bit today, eh?

The computer is always right :) I like some FIFA soccer on my playstation. The Scottish commentators sound so funny in some earlier games. What about this football hooliganism that's going on?? Isn't there a playstation game about that as well?

I wouldn't say it's "corrupt" they just don't use cameras to review the plays.
so sometimes the refs make some dumb calls. I've noticed that most BS calls are in international football. But The Premier League is pretty clean in calls and they play hard, that's what I like about it.

if you're not into soccer over here, you're going to die alone!

still a supporter of FC HANSA ROSTOCK...
Image

we went from the first german division to the third in 2 seasons, but for me it's all about drinking and yelling anyway... Watching soccer in TV is damn lame but video-game soccer is good fun! (Anyone down for PES2010/Wii?)

when it comes to playing shit, I prefer b-ball as well, actually came from basketball to hiphop back in the mid 90's...

I follow and play footie.

Don't really cheer for any specific teams, but regularly watch the premiership (UK), la Liga (spain) and bundesliga (germany).

Mostly though, I follow the TERRIBLE footie in the MLS (north american "first" division). Montreal's team is being promoted to the MLS in 2012. It is a total gong-show but what can you do.

OOh man you'll never catch me watching MLS ahaha and I don't live far from the LA Galaxy's Stadium.

But yea Football is a lot more fun to watch after you have played it and learned a thing or 2 about the sport. I find it relaxing to watch the games on the weekends. Specialy the Champions League

Football is the most exciting sport there is. Especially the premier league. And as a spurs supporter, believe we've known that refs are bribed for years lol

Hehehe.. well.. world--style football ,as opposed to australian rules football.. I think it's interesting in the same way endurance/tour cycling interests me - it's not a one-person race, it's a strategic team game.. It doesn't really 'excite' me though.. It's more relaxing to me .

Australian rules football excites me, because it's fast, brutal (none of that gay padding american football players wear) and the ball isn't round so you never know which way it's gonna bounce!
