Microsampler or 404sx
To any owners of both, I was just wondering which you think is better for really fucking about with sounds. The microsampler looks pretty sick and all those sampling modes look pretty nifty too, but then again the effects on my 505 were banging and I'd imagine those on the 404sx would be on a different level. What's your opinions?

I'd say it depends if you wanna get crazy with effects or get crazy with pitching/looping/triggering..
Samples.

you must have a really small computer screen. scroll like ten topics down and find this.

anyway, the 404 is slightly more userfriendly. at this point; if i were buying either I might just get an ipad with the new line6 midi connect and maybe nanostudio. just saying.
now the sx is supposedly less adept at effecting than the original 404 and if you really want effects and don't need the sequencer so much then get an sp-808. it really has the best sound and effects of any sp imo.

Yeah JBL,
The Ipad with Nanostudio and the Line6 midi connection is nice! I also added a Griffin Imic (http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/imic) via the USB port included with the Camera Connection Kit. It has Mic AND line-in connections which allow me to sample directly into Nanostudio from my portable turntable (Vestax), Ipods, etc. I can then chop, slice and create beats in an ultraportable environment with approx. 10 hours of battery life plus the instant-on (no waiting for it to boot crap).
Peace
