@bridge- what are the pads like (feel and response) on the launchpad with respect to the live drum rack and vst synths? I know they're fixed velocity but can't see that being a problem for me. I'm very tempted to cop one, will be new to live aswell but think it would go well with the macbook and 404.

I really like them! I like the idea of having four mpc banks all at once. I really like playing more than 16 notes at once not needing a keyboard to do it. They are pretty soft, I have no problem pounding out a beat on them. My MPD24 is boxed up in the closet. Theres still some things I wish I had knobs and faders for though, I wish they made a lauchpad/remote zero-x all in one unit.

@ helloitabot

I use the MiniCommand mainly for live stuff, adjusting the MD's delay machine with the 4 dedicated knobs. it also 'learns' the last 4 MD parameters you adjusted and then allows you to tweak those via the MC. also, it can loop 2 bars of knob movement, great for adding variation to tweaks in a live envionment

it has a lot of studio tricks too, but i really only use it live at the moment

@ Ella
sup dude?
The Virus is amazing! i love it. i tend to make very sharp edged tones with it, and the LFOs are great for adding variety over time

Im moving in a month so I have not felt the need to put the studio back together.
I am not using the mv. The 1k is faster for me.

Why you using the little Numark tt for sampling when you got 1200s back there? Mine has gnarly hum so.

The numark has the little trick, when you push the switch between 33 and 45 itplays super slow, it also has 78. I use the trick a lot when sampling. The speed on the 1200's is only plus/minus 8 and 33/44 only
