Video Microwave Battle?

Earlier this year we were talking bout this... getting Ustream accounts and doing live battles, like maybe someone outside the battle picks the samples, then a one-on-one via webcam, and you could watch the beats being made live on two seperate windows... muting and un-muting to hear the differences between them... then, an hour later, times up and we post them up for voting.... No deadlines, we just schedule them in advance and people can tune in to watch it live! I think it would be coool

we'd need to route the output of the sp into the computer for best sound, and could use the sp's mic for talkback but how would we do this without fucking up the arena page? might get scattered. maybe we could dedicate a single ongoing thread to scheduled battles, and then just edit post and say 'closed' when it's over. i have not looked into ustream yet but hopefully you can chat during it or something to add comments or votes live....

As far as I understood (!) Kel and me are going to ceate a broadcast so you can see each of us during the process. After one hour it's time for the show off... We need judges!!! We need a sample!!! You can join a chat thats right next to the video (we might have actually 2 chats, fucking popularity competion too...) and give us some whyse words during this hour...
sounds like fun for me... I didn't figured out how to set up anything so first Kel needs to show me some stuff...

that was a blast. i had to leave early though for work, and never was able to hear wax's performance... all i saw was pads flickering like a strobe light through a cloud of weed smoke you would swear it was prerecorded and played back in fast forward ninja. very cool that you are able to record little videos as you go and they pop up on the right side of the screen.

i stopped my stream after i realized kel had left the field.

next time we should stick to one sample and maybe own drums...
i had mad stress to decide where to go... less material could be helpful on that one... short track+own drums would make me feel more safe...
1hour seems to be ok, you never know if you can work a sample anyway.
