Sp505...Mpc1000...Korg R3....Album

Post by Slumlord88 »

Heavy use of the Korg R3 is the main idea behind this album...still lots of sampling going on because i didnt want it to sound too electronic.

Direct influences on this album:
Madlib, J Dilla, Portishead, Crystal Castles, Flying Lotus...

Just to give u an idea what this might sound like...

Thanks bro...the R3 is very powerful and still cheap... i picked up a used R3 for around $200, although it didnt come with a power supply, no gooseneck vocoder mic and the power button is sticky...still works perfect

I think you can download the R3 sound patches for the microkorg tho...and vice versa...or maybe it was the XL...but the R3 feels professional and lightweight...oh and Kaoss pad effects on the R3 good too..
