Introduction and video

Post by Garlicsteaks »

G'day everyone,

Been lurking for about a month now and figure it's time to sign up.

Might as well tell you all a bit about my back ground, I started making beats a few years ago just fro a few mates that freestyled and what not, was using reason and a few midicontrollers. About 2 years ago my wife got pregnant with our first and the producing sort of slowed down/ stopped, been getting back into it in the last couple of months, just banging out little loops and whatnot in my studio setup (home studio).

Anyway I picked up an SP404 about 2 weeks back for pretty cheap, and I fricken love it. I was holding out to buy an mpc, and because of that, never got to play with any other hardware, I couldn't pass up on the sp though. And I tell ya, I don't even want the mpc anymore for now. I love the limits this machine sets you.

I've been filtering through the site and finding tricks to make my shit better and have found a few, can't wait to keep reading and find more.

Anyway I'll leave you with this vid I put together this morning. If you look at m other videos there are a few from when I just got the machine, I plan to make or of these vids every couple of weeks to document my progress in learning the machines fuctionalty.

Well hope you enjoy,

Edit;
