303 wont read WAV. files ( i.e. kick, snare )
i just got the 303, i updated the SP via smartcard. i put wav. file and changed their name like the manual tells me SMPL0001 ( do i have to add the .WAV at the end ) ? but i put them on the memory and the 303 doesn't show "UAU" ...Can someone please help..im so ready to bang out some sound on this fine machine

try to see if the .wav samples you got are 44.1hz and the bit is 1441 something (not 756 etc) ...this way it should work.
also: do the smartmedia you put on the 303 was with the gold face "down"?

yes you have to have .wav at the end, but maybe your computer is configured to not show the extension... check that.

i don't write .WAV at the end of the smpl files and my 303 read them.

Thanks alot guys...i took out the .WAV that i had typed and the 303 read the wav files. im so happy. RESPECT
