MEMORY CARD WON'T FORMAT

Post by Roger Rabbit »

I recently purchased a Boss SP-303 from my friend and ordered a memory card from eBay. It just came in the mail and is brand new but whenever I turn the machine on with it in and go to press Cancel+Remain, the 'Fnt' only flickers on for about a second then is gone. Because of this I cannot format my memory card which is 64mb and 3.3v like it is supposed to be so what should I do to my machine to try and solve it?

Please help, I was SO excited to start making music on this thing and without memory, it won't be possible.

I had the same problem 2 days ago. My card (also 64mb) wasn't formatting because I had it turned the wrong way in the slot. With the power off, take the card out of the slot and turn it to the side where "64mb" is written is facing you. Now, turn the card upside down and put it back in the slot. When you turn the 303 back on it should format once you hit cancel + remain.

I used to have 3 sandisks for my 303...now I only have 2 that work. But every now and then I have to reformat and I lose all the samples.

not trying to hijack this thread...but sometimes, SOMETIMES...old samples that have been deleted come through as if they were never deleted.
