I am kind of new to this, but it depends on what you want to be the master clock. If you want the esq-1 to do it, you would connect midi out from the esq to the midi in on the microkorg, and midi-thru on the mikrokorg to midi in on the sp. If the microkorg doesn't have midi thru you will want to buy a midi thru box. Set the midi channel on the korg to 1 and on the sp to 2. That should do it I think.

i advise you to read all this gear manual on the MIDI section because there is a MIDI channel associated with each gear, and then you press FUNC + MIDI CH on the 404 and chose one.
