A little help with reaper?
So, I've used reaper before and never had this problem, even using the trial version, which I'm using now. When I try to render a project to mp3 ,a box comes up that says I have to download lame, and it gives you a link. I download it what seems successfully, but then when i go back to try and render again, the same box just keeps popping up. No matter how many times i try to download lame, it wont let me do shit. Anybody ever have this problem? Any advice? The wav. files I'm rendering won't play either. Keep in mind I'm using a newly purchased hp p.c. that was previously used. Every function of the p.c. seems to be completely normal though, and it's no more than a year or so old. This is mad frustrating, any help would be appreciated, thanks. Peace.
Re: A little help with reaper?
I didn't have the wav playing problem, but I did have the mp3 exporting problem. I ended up just rendering to wav and using dbpoweramp to convert to mp3. No matter what version of lame or using Reaper's instructions, it has never worked.
Re: A little help with reaper?
Ditto, I don't render to mp3 with reaper either. I just export as WAV and render it in mp3 format with Audacity.
Re: A little help with reaper?
I was planning on doing something simmilar, but the wav.s won't play. I don't get it. Thanks though.
Re: A little help with reaper?
you have to put the lame encoder dll into the plugins directory for reaper, or tell reaper where the lame encoder dll is.

Re: A little help with reaper?
Any way you can tell me how to to that exactly? I'd really appreciate it, thanks.
Re: A little help with reaper?
you need to find out what folder reaper expects the file to be in and then put the file in that folder.
