I don't know if the 404 users here know that you can export samples from your 404 which lets you move samples from the internal banks to the CF card, the best part though is that you can put a single sample on multiple pads all at once if they're being assigned to the same bank. So you can have multiple samples to chop and truncate without resampling which lowers the sound quality a little.

Thanks!

No doubt, I actually came upon this trying to help another person with importing his samples into the 404. Sucks but I don't think I can use the trick I found for my 303 since SM cards are a little different than CF cards, but it's all to the bueno 'cause I get grimy with my other secret squirrel tricks.

Is this the sample copy trick you're referring to ?

The flying lotus trick is for pattern copy and not sample copy, but yeah it's basically the same. Plus I thought you can only transfer the pattern you want copied to other pads one by one and not in a group to fill a whole bank, but I've never used the flying lotus trick 'cause it's not necessary the way I make beats. It's not really a trick either 'cause it tells you how do this in the manual.
