I think it's about time for another Open Challenge. I don't really have any rules besides make some dope beats! Anything goes.

Deadline is Sept 17.

ver.2! ver.1 was something completely different... I flipped my samples hard and made a ver.2.

I used the songs and my SP-404. 180 seconds of of of SP-404 Made Trash House.

Is there a god way to balance the sounds? You record and listen and - one sound/sample is kind of to loud in the "mix"...
I shifted headphones and tryed to listen throu speakers... Hard. (sound like I worked on this for 2 weeks :-)

Nice beat! I wasn't sure if anybody was going to join this battle. Looks like imma have to step up my game even if it's just me and Gis battling.

the only rule in open challege is that you make it yourself

so here it is, a few days early. i would have worked on it longer but i'm revamping the "studio". it's pretty much exclusively the samples that were provided, with the exception of a bass sound i used from my mc-307 and layering i did with a snap sound and kick. i had to use that drumbreak formal chose for sure.

i did most of the arranging with my 505, then added some other parts using my 303, then i tracked them into my 4-track recorder. not something i wouldn't typically make but it gets my head moving which may be a good sign.
