akai s900, stereo in?
i keep reading in spec pages that the 900 has "stereo" sampling. but when i input a stereo soucre with a stereo cable, all i get is the left side coming in....i have looked through menu's there is no obvious way to change sample into left or right or stereo or mono....so i just need some light here. is the input only mono??...is the idea to just sample the left, and then the right and save as 2 samples with different outs? confused...somebody help me out! if it is a stereo in, it seems my input may be broken or somethin...just got it yesterday sooo...HELP!

i haven't used mine for a minute but im sure you can sample in stereo, especialy considering the left/right mono features becuase you could only do that if the og sample was stereo. will wire it up if i get a chance, good luck!!
also apologies if all of the above is rubbish, has been a minute!!

man..it really seems like there is a bad connection inside this 900, or something....i got the tone program to play through both sides...but its like it can only play 1 side at a time?????? man i hope this think inst broken...really wanted to starty using it to design shit...but its a longenough process to not have to do each side individually....DOES ANYBODY KNOW FOR SURE IF THE S900 SAMPLES IN STEREO THROUGH ITS INPUT???? it so seems like its only mono.....

Re: akai s900, stereo in?
this is the only reference to the akais input....it sounds to me like its saying its mono, and to adjust the mixer to hear both channels...but...i wasnt running the outs to a mixer so i didnt try this....hopeully im getting both channels when i put a stero line input in there...maybe i have to convert the stereo tip to a mono tip?.....
(When it's time to hook your system's stereo output to the S900's
mono line input, adjust your mixer or balance controls for a 3 dB
(or greater) difference between the left and right channels. This
prevents phase cancellation from messing around with your high
end and/or hollowing out the bottom. )
but if it is mono, wouldnt it play both sides at the sametime anyway? just with no stereo effect?? confusing...i just want to hear both sides of the haedphones at once..........
