Yeah I don't think they are even out yet anywhere except Japan. I couldn't find them on ebay. I plan on running my TR-707 through the pair.

I'm sure more cool stuff/mods are on the way. Also I remember seeing somewhere that Korg is planning a monotron pro sometime in the near future.

Re: KORG MONOTRON
got this machine midi? what's the ain differences between his monotron and a cheap stylophoe? is just the filters?
Re: KORG MONOTRON
no midi.
most stylophones are probably just digital looped sample playback or basic digital oscillator...
this one is all analog.. and the analog filter you can run other stuff through - and also modulate with the LFO (I think)
I have seen a photo of a box that says 'monotron pro'.. so maybe its real.

Got hyped about it too, but ultimately decided against it. It's actually not sounding thát great in my humble opinion, unless you're really into the beeps and bleeps kind of stuff.
The only decent and useful tone I've ever got out of one, was basically by setting the filter to one very specific setting.
Not a bad thing when you sample the heck out of it and use lots of FX and filters (with for example an SP-404) on the end result, but I felt its lacking somewhat of a greater variety when it comes to sound itself.
I know it's true analogue in comparison, but I definitely prefer a MicroKorg (more emulated) sound or other analogue synthesizers (Dave Smith Mopho) over this little box for sure.
Of course, the most obvious difference is its pricetag, but you can get other stylophones for as little as 10 bucks.
Not saying people can't make awesome things with a Monotron though, look at this;
