Weird memory card problem, help?

So I've been using the sp404 (not sx) for a few months now with no problems whatsoever and a 256mb lexar CF card. And all of the sudden the other day I had the 404 line in plugged into a computer headphone jack and was sampling to bank b.. when i tried to sample to bank c nothing lit up. It turns out the 404 just completely stopped reading the memory card... I put it on my card reader and everything is still on it but i cant format it on the 404 and it will not read it... has anyone else had this problem??

Have you tried another card to verify if it's the card or the 404 thats malfunctioning?

no i dont know anyone else with a big CF card like this
