widest pitch range?

Anybody know a decently priced turntable with a wide pitch range??

Get a cheap, belt-driven Numark or Stanton.

Try Vestax PDX 2000, they're pretty cheap used. The only turntable apart from the PDX 3000 obviously which has 50% AND 10% pitch at the same time (coarse and fine control).

If you're planning to use it for sampling... if it wasn't over 500 bucks new the PDX 3000 would be killer. You can play the pitch via MIDI with a keyboard! How awesome is that?

numark tt500 would be your cheapest option I would say. +-50 pitch range I believe. Same motor as ttx just doesn't have the screen.

Dont count out the portable tables tho (pt01 and handytrax). If u place the slider between 33-45 u get a whole new range that's prolly around -30, that u can control,

tt200 is also quite good, it just overheats if you leave it on too long
but a really good turntable for also scratching and mixing is the gemini tt04, no joke

You get 33,45,78. Also key correction (change speed without changing pitch) and 8%,16%,25% pitch modes. Two pitch bend buttons with ( + or - ) 6 bend. It has a built in pre-amp, SPDIF digital out and 1/8" headphone jack out. Best of all these decks are cheap and direct drive.

how is this possible??? does it have something built into the turntable to process the audio?? and i'm also curious about the pitch bend, that sounds kinda cool i guess, does that slow the spin or is that audio processing as well??

I'm not sure how it works. I just use it mainly as an effect or a way to get a different sound from a record. If anything I might say it's a digital effect, but that doesn't mean it still doesn't work like analog should. There is no difference in sound quality or artifacting. My favorite part about the str8-100 is the pitch modes, you can get to the parts the normal pitch slider can't.
