FINALLY FOUND IT___NINTENDO MUSIC SITE!!!

i found this thing like years ago and used to download the midi files and put em in like fruityloops 3 and fuck around with the instruments. copy the sequences to soundfonts and play with the instruments there too. but i couldnt find this thing for shit when i wanted to find it again. My buddy just googlechatted me this link so now i found it AGAIN!!!

Has a shitload of nintendo video game music. I dont think its 8-bit but you could totally crunch it down and maybe get that effect. Sounds like a midi GM instrument version but its still the shit. Got my fav game BIONIC COMMANDO on there too.
O another note, if you didnt know, XBOX remade Bionic commando, exact same game and levels n shit but its all redone graphically so it looks better, but its the exact same as the nintendo one and a cool fuckin game too. check it out.
