Proper Introduction

Post by C.Scott »

I've been posting here and there, so I guess it's time I actually got around to introducing myself. I'm 16 and out of Pittsburgh. I've been working on the 404SX for about 2 months now, although I've been making beats for about a year. I'm into Madlib, Dilla, Flying Lotus, Pete Rock, ATCQ, DJ Shadow, DJ Krush, DITC (especially Buckwild), Digable Planets... and the list goes on. Aside from the beats, I'm also an aspiring jazz bassist (upright and electric).

Definitely looking forward to becoming a part of the community, just by looking on here, y'all have helped me out of many a jam when I first picked up my SP. Not to mention all of the dope music here.

Peace

Welcome to the Forum ! I play bass too I have a Fender Jazz. I haven't had a chance to pick up a stand up bass tho they're kinda expensive. I hope to incorporate it into my music making soon. I just need some more equipment.

It's definitely worth it. See if there's a music shop (string instruments, not guitar center lol) around you, if so, you can probably rent for like $100 a month or something to see if you dig it. Nice to see some other bass players on the boards though!
