i saw am. gangsta yesterday and it said in the closing that 3/4 of the cops of NY were corrupt in the seventies. I'm not really worried about cops, some are pretty cool. I'm worried about what some really smart and/or conniving politician could do with the patriot act. really nobody wants bombs on the train, cops do their job, cool...

but W is an idiot and he was having AMERICAN citizens phones tapped. imagine what the next guy(girl?) could do!

That's a pretty sweet case idea dj vivi. Someone had mentioned that zebra cases http://www.zebracase.com work well for the 404. I ended up using an old, large handgun case. It's rugged and also has enough room for my Zoom H2 field recorder for battery powered sampling anywhere :)

Now that might warrant some suspicion on the subways!

Great idea though! The bassist in my band had to modify an old shotgun case for his Thunderbird bass. He couldn't find any bass cases big enough.

Unfortunately there's really no where to go to escape a group of people that are not only in the U.S. that seek to have a super state without borders, hence all the protesting of the WTO and NAFTA which coupled with the world bank have the power to control any country and if they don't consent they will be crippled by economic sactions like the ones placed on cuba and north korea or all out war as in vietnam or iraq and iran. The only place left for real free expression is the net and now that is threatened by large corporations that are trying to have bills passed to allow the people with the most money to have a priority on net bandwith, much like the current situation in television media. Everyone who likes sites like this have to vote for net neutrality or else we won't be able to exchange any information without nike type money. Luckily though the net and it's true advances are created by hackers who feel this is against the whole spirit of the net and will always find new ways to subvert unjust control of free speech and thoughts. Welcome to the new war, no more bombs just control of digital information, if you control a countries thought process then you never have to bother to attack them physically.

Yeah, definitely ... in fact, when I was in NY about a year ago, even a bag with a simple wooden box in it was suspicious enough to ask me about it. Crazy stuff..

I used to go to Goodwill in Seattle and look for records for hours on my day off and none of the workers there would ever bother me, so I was thinking if I get a 404 I'm going straight beat pirate with a pt-01 in the Goodwill and make beats there from whatever they have and not worry about leaving with a stack of records that I'll have give away to people eventually for the sake of space.
