I'm in this thing now where all my beats build toward basically the same thing - a breakdown.

I just feel like I'm building a beat, rather than a song. So I don't have 3 (or whatevs) distinct parts. So beat builds up, beat breaks down, beat ends.

Sooo the 16 bar beat is great, but it sorta goes nowhere. I have a million of these things, and I never feel inspired enough to go back and build new parts. I'd rather just make another NEW beat. That's also why I 'release' so little material.

Starting off with a great idea in mind, switching on the machines, gettin down to business and coming up with something completely different which I then work on for ages before deciding that its shit and I've forgotten my first idea.

"Not knowing anyone who makes beats" damn right. like half-baked ohh you smoke too, alas we can share everything. <---dream wife.

TROUBLE SHOOTING!!!!!! Computers, Disk Errors,

Losing Creative momentum. Such as phone calls 3x and picking it up just to find out it's some stupid shit and then getting to an argument, etc.

Accidental DELETIONS.

Creative Bullshit Blocks, accompanied by the negative emotional inertia i.e. mediocrity.

Losing time due to clutter and disorganization.

Realizing that I fucked up.

I hate it when the people that you collab with don't keep you updated on a project.

Re-playing the song over and over again (untill I feel like I'm going to throw up) to decide the layout of the song.
