I've been in a pretty big slump the last week or so, got a quick one done today- figured I'd upload and get a little bit of feedback. Got maybe a little too distorted at parts in the recording, not sure though..
PEACE

i like the mood and the flow of it....it does sound like there is some digital distortion...like you sampled from an mp3 or somthin...thats what i hear but only in the high end. cool little joint though man.

nice man... dig the chops... that distortion was enjoyable for me.

slumps last longer when you tell yourself you're actually in one. tell yourself otherwise...

read something a long time ago about hemingway. said he used to never stop for the day until he reached a point where he could easily jump right in the next day... i do that with everything and it works wonders.

no slumps... just days where the waves aren't as big.

Thanks guys appreciate the kind words, it helps.

Ye Mainiakist, it's definetely digital distortion, but I sampled vinyl. I just got sort of lazy recording from my tape recorder onto the computer through audacity and it kind of had an annoying hiss, so I attempted to use 'noise removal' but that almost made it sound worse lol.

Nice advice Freedom, Ill keep that in mind- hopefully it helps!

PEACE

Some dirt-stank you got there Johnny! Actually the distortion sounds good, makes it sound like a vinyl record. You probably discovered something.

You know I love piano samples, Johnny!
I like it, the drums are really cool, too, but I don't like the little pauses that you have between the piano chops. I think to fix that, you need to either extend the end point of each point, add another short chop in between the spaces or switch to one-shot mode.

Thanks guys, yeah good call computers. The samples were a little tough to make work together- I'll keep that in mind next time.

Yeah this is nice dude easy on the ears I hear what comps was syin about the gaps they are a little distracting but its minor really.....fuck a slump anyway dude just keep workin and delete the shit that leads you to think your in slumpville thats waht I do make a load of shit and trash the stuff that sounds weak the next day...that way it never happened (well in my mind  )
