If you want to play chords with pads and even layer them, you SERIOUSLY need many voices. MS2000? Probably the worst possible choice for that except a monosynth.

is that true? the ms2000 is just mono? if it is, fortunately i didnt bought it...

It's not mono, I think it's 4 voice, but I think if you use both the A & B layer it cuts down to 2.. in other words.. not enough to play even a simple chord

If you want to layer sounds, don't get an MS2000. It can play exactly two different sounds on a maximum of 4 notes at once.
