Each joint is about 2 minutes long and they get shorter on the last couple cause I had to edit the video to fit on youtube. Any feedback is appreciated as always.

yo, i just listened to that youtube video. you're drums are so sloppy its hard to get a head nod going for even a 4 bar loop. You gotta tighten it up. I kinda dig what your cuts are going for but they are real loose and dont fit rhythmicly to 'compliment' you drums. i honestly couldnt listen to more that 2 beats before i had to listen to something else. so i dig further into your videos and came across this track which i thought was dope.

i dont know if you're using quantize here but you've still got the same feel as your new stuff but these beats are rhythmically cohesive and let me enjoy what you're going for.

peace.

I never climbed the ladder in front of me to see where it did not lead. Only when I had never reached the top would I not have seen if the climb was not worth it.

No doubt. This is something that I have been trying to work with the SP and it's still a pain in my ass. Truth is, my area of expert runs in the MPC, MPD and FL department, so I'm still trying to get familiar with rocking no quantize. Appreciate the input.

P.S.
Those other beats are all FL, Reason & MPC. The SP isn't brand new to me, but I haven't used it for years like the MP.

just a thought. you dont need to do everything in the 404.

i have gotten good sounds from tracks i've made in reason and exported into the 404 and rerecorded using maybe compressor or vinyl sim or maybe isolator.

getting a work flow like that might give you the sound you want while letting you work with tools that you might feel more comfortable with.

Word up. That is actually the first thing I was taught to do with the SP because bangin out the beats on it @ first was really frustrating. My 1st few SP tapes were all beats I made in FL, so I've only been doing it this way for like a month just to get used to the idea of smashing something out. Your feedback is I exactly why I have been testing the waters cause there are holes in my SP game and it is good for me to hear where my flaws are. Plus it keeps me humble to learn more.

Thanks again for the advice. It means alot that you would take your time to kick some knowledge.
