I was exporting my samplings to the computer with the SD-card and I think the quality was bad. With nearly the same sampling from my Korg KP3 the quality was very god. I mean, the dynamic was very clear and the base sounde good. This test was not 100%, I will do it again, but the sound difference was so strong so I would ask you here.
Perhaps Korg often enhance the dynamic? Is that good or bad?
Is the new sampling standard with the 404sx better?
ps. my english is bad, hope you understand. ds
pps. a tip for you card export, if you are in a hurry, you can export all samples (the whole roland folder) in your card to the computer and then mount it later with some mountprogram after to extract the samples with the editor, I use Poweriso. dds

sorry I made a new, better test now and i found no big differences anymore, in fact the sp555 sound was a little better
It must have been the filter I put on in the sp555 that screwed things up, sorry

technically the 555 does use audio compression (and the original 404), but it is very slight so shouldnt make much difference.

Also, there's a difference on the sampling rate (44.1khz on the SPs vs 48khz on the KP3), but IIRC the KP3 editor has some kind of converter.
