Hey everybody, great to see so many people loving the SP404 sampler!
This routine was put together for the Dublin Science Gallery and is mainly composed on the SP404, but I also used a Kaoss pad 3. The samples were taken from records, cassettes and youtube.
Here is the bedroom version:

the 404 sandwiched between the kaos pads looks like a boombox from the future

Thanks guys, appreciate the kind comments:)
It's been really enjoyable reading all your tips and techniques, and hearing some dope beats! I guess I want to share one of the ways I use the SP, and that is by explaing how I build sample archives.
Routing a signal out of my decks, youtube or a DVD into my SP404, I get to work digging. I take anything that I think sounds interesting and fill a card up, pop it into a card reader and dump the sounds into a folder on my desktop (naming it something memorable). I have a few CF cards that I can load older sample patches into, swopping the cards around to redig my samples (I've found you don't need to power the unit down to swop CF cards, but be careful about dirt!).
Its true that you can end up with having a glut of samples you never use, but I guess the point I am trying to make is that the more sounds you have at your disposal the more happy accidents you can make
Here are a couple of my beats on a youtube vid (filmed on Paddys day in Dublin)
