Video Performance (How????)

Post by V-F! »

Anybody here get down with the video performance? What are the best/standard tools for creating/generating content and mixing and freaking said material live. I really need some one to put on the game. Links, websites, blogs, personal advice is all welcome.

Haha, I've actually seen those. I was thinking more on the laptop tip. I wonder if those are legit though. Like will you find someone flipping one of those at a electronic music party, or is it all laptop.

I've used VDMX to do live visuals. It's pretty easy to use, and trigger shots via keyboard or midi. I've got some footage from a show around here somehwere. Dope program tho!

Max/MSP/Jitter!!

Jitter is the video portion of this, but it all runs in one program, and allows you to cut and manipulate video in pretty much anyway you could think of, along with creating complicated interactions between any audio/video/MIDI files, its pretty much only limited by your own ability to think outside the box

That P-10 looks mighty ill. I would cop one but the price is kinda high right now. At least the MV can sequence photos to your beats, so I'm content for now.
