Using effects while recording a pattern..?

Is this possible? because I've haven't found anything in the man..

if someone could help wit this..please?

if you're talking about turning effects on and off during recording a pattern, and then having the pattern remember it by itself when it comes back around, automation style... then no. but you can resample your effect to an og sample and assign to a different pad, and hit that one instead when you want the effect to come in. better yet, you can turn effects on and off while recording to another source, then bounce back onto a pad on your sp to make yourself variations on the loop.

thanks kel it worked...the only problem is when I cant play it in itunes just in a daw..if the mpc turns it into a wav file why cant i hear it on itunes..it says
