mike i noticed in the kick drum software video youre using what looks like the maschine? how do you like it and do you use it with the stock software or do you run it through some crazyness?

The software for Machine is nowhere near what it needs to be for me. There working on it with a new beta which improves it alot but we'll have to wait and see what the final release will be. Its looking much better so far but no i dont use the software.

The Maschine pad controller itself is great especially when you use the controller editor for it as well. You can set up templates for all your DAW apps and custom live uses. Ive used it to control my SP-404SX and the SP-555.

The sp202, sp505 and sp808 are all discontinued, i was just giving him more current models that are a tad bit easier to come across. ( except mc909 )

i understand your reasons,
but i said that just to say that Roland has yet "touched" the pitch (tuning, shifting etc) argument with those samplers, so this means that thay could do it again (reincluding the picth on new samplers i mean) if they just wanted to.

Theres alot of old products that did cool things that new products dont do. Who knows.

I think they just want to do new stuff, not necessarily old stuff better. But yeah, popular things should totally make it in newer samplers as part of the natural evolution of gear. But for some reason that rarely really happens.
