meager prophit wrote:my monitors are unbranded mediocore pieces of junk i picked up from a friends dad, so its entirely possible that the problem is entirely my end, but i listen to all my music through them so its a relative assessment.

i would still consider a re-mixing if you were gonna release it properly. The track is worth getting just right.
ok, i see.

if you listen to your music only with your monitor (what label anyway? madiocre is relative in this case...i mean the monitors are ok in a system but there are also hifi speakers - and other "listen systems" -to make confrontation with...) maybe your ears are sort of "wont" to it...for examples: last weeks i was at my friend house and i made him listen some tracks (made only with monitors) to his hifi systems...i didnt like the result and i bought myself a decent - but cheap and old - pair of hifi speakers from the '80 (just 10€ ehehe) instead of still keeping some 8watts cd speakers...
this is just to say that is better to listen to different systems than just one (but this is valuable also for me)...
that said, i will try to relisten the track to do a better mix...thanx again for the comment meager prophit!
