a bummed timfromtexas over an updated esx that had less of an update than the 404sx.. dont get me wrong its a fantastic deal... 32 gigs of storage with the right card.. thats a lot of sample time but no other changes?

that octa machine looks cool but for the money you could do an mv almost

Sorry guys I kinda killed the studio fliks thread with my mention of the Octatrack. It looks.....aight. Hard to tell with what we know right now. If it has slice, mlr type sequencing and or auto next like the microsampler it will be insane. Looks like right now though it you are anit-computer this thing will be a game changer. Now that I know they are coming out at the end of the year I might pass and get a new jacked up machinedrum though.

I think the monotron is actually pretty cool. It uses the same filter as the Korg MS-10 and MS-20. It also has an audio input. And it's all analog! I wish they would've made it bigger with real keys though. Maybe this little guy is a sign of good things to come. It would be rad if Korg started making analog synths again.

Octatrack is a sampler.. When I heard bout it I thought itd be COOL but the description of it is very vague... and somewhat not as hype-inducing as i was expecting. When I imagine an elektron sampler, it usually involves user-wave ram machines etc on severe extra doses of acid.

looking again i think it will just be a sampler. still very intersted though, will just have to wait and see!! i've never touched elektron goods but they look like they got solid build quality, something my mpc is lacking (too many stiff buttons)

Okay, after watching this video I'm totally sold on the monotron. Listen to how nasty it sounds. It'll be a great source for sampling bleeps with that fast lfo. Plus with the audio in you can run anything through the filter. A MS-20 filter for $67 is a no brainer.

Notice how he says the first in this series? I hope this means more analog gear from korg soon.

Not too stoked on that Korg ish. Looks like a fun little toy, but there are only 1/8th inch ins and outs and it cant be that deep with only a couple of parameters. That being said, for the price, it's pretty cool I guess.

I guess elektron has just beaten the world record in "megabyte of memory per 1 dollar" category

their memory upgrade of 256 additional mb costs... 360 euro which equals about half a grand $.

that's the price of a used waldorf blofeld here.

nice.

Naah they still haven't beaten their old record.
Remember when they churned out the Machinedrum UW? 2 MB of sample RAM added for 350 eur price increase.
